On June 14th, 2025, Americans from coast to coast participated in one of the largest protests of the Trump Administration to date. Scheduled for the same day as President Trump’s controversial military parade in Washington, DC, the No Kings protests mark the largest outpouring of opposition to the Trump Administration since his inauguration in January.
The costs of Trump’s military parade will cost the U.S. Army somewhere between $25 million and $45 million, with critics calling the authoritarian display of power an unnecessary waste of taxpayer money during a time when many political leaders are calling for greater restraint when it comes to government spending.
While generally peaceful in nature, the day’s events were marred by the assassination of a Democratic lawmaker in Minnesota and an exchange of missile strikes between Israel and Iran.
It’s estimated that in total nearly 2,000 demonstrations were planned by anti-Trump activists around the country.
