There are various ways to contact your representatives in Congress. The most traditional ways to do so are by phone, email, or U.S. Postal Mail.
By Phone
Step 1: Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121
- This number connects you to the U.S. Capitol, where an operator can direct your call to your U.S. Representative or U.S. Senators.
Step 2: Tell the operator the name of your Representative or Senator
- If you’re unsure who represents you, visit Congress.gov and enter your ZIP code to find out.
Step 3: Once connected, introduce yourself briefly
✔️ Example: “Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I am a constituent from [Your City, State].”
Step 4: State your request clearly and firmly
✔️ Example: “I am calling to urge [Representative/Senator’s Name] to support the impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump. His repeated violations of federal law and constitutional abuses endanger our democracy, and Congress must act. Enough is enough!”
Step 5: Thank the staffer and ask for a response

Step 1: Find your Representative and Senators’ email contact forms
- Visit www.house.gov to find your U.S. Representative.
- Visit www.senate.gov to find your U.S. Senators.
- Most members of Congress do not provide direct email addresses but use web forms—click the “Contact” section on their website.
Step 2: Use a clear subject line
