Good Trouble Lives On

RIP Rep. John Lewis

Tomorrow, July 17th, 2025, will mark the five-year anniversary of the death of civil rights leader and former congressman John Lewis. For those of you who may not be familiar with who he was, Rep. John Lewis was one of the most vocal critics of President Trump during his first term in the White House. In honor of Rep. Lewis’ memory, tens of thousands of Americans are expected to take to the streets in protest of the Trump Administration and engage in a little bit of “Good Trouble,” as he would have put it.

There are several events scheduled for tomorrow in DC, including an umbrella protest at the Metro Center Station (starting at 9am) and a march from Franklin Park to the former Black Lives Matter Plaza (starting at 5:30pm).

There will also be a number of rallies being held in the Washington, DC suburbs:

If you’re outside the Washington, DC area but still wish to participate, simply check out GoodTroubleLivesOn.org to find a rally or march that’s a little closer to home!
